Want to know more?

The Guardianfix 2 Group 1/2/3 car seat from Kiddy is an industry leader in design, innovation and safety. ISOFIX compatible and using innovative impact shield technology the GuardianFix offers greater protection to the head, neck and spine than conventional car seats with five-point harnesses. Dispersing energy through a wider contact point and away from the child, the Guardian Fix's impact shield technology is proven to reduce the risk of serious head, neck and spine injuries.

Suitable from 9 months up until approximately 12 years of age, the Guardianfix 2 has comfort in mind at every step of the way. A removable baby insert provides tailored comfort for smaller children, with breathable Thermotex fabrics to keep your little one comfy in all temperatures. An extended leg rest and height-adjustable headrest provide increased support for older children.

Surprisingly lightweight, this car seat is easily switched between vehicles for bigger families and stores away neatly when not in use. The removable covers can be machine washed to keep on top of any mishaps.

Realy good so far!
By annina75 from UK on 25/11/2013

We just got this car seat. We have spent the past 3 months looking for a suitable car seat for our 6 month old daughetr and we think this is the one. The safety ratings are very good and so the feedback you read on the web. The eat is very easy to fix to te car and it is easy to secure the child in the seat too. Our daughter looks happy in it and she rest er arms on the front cushion. She also had some good sleeps whie in it which means she is happy and comfy. The seat though does not recline much as it is very big. We have a Ford Mondeo estate.

Really pleased with this car seat
By Pollypodders from Maidenhead, BERKS on 21/09/2013

Really pleased with this seat. Wasn't sure how my 3 year old would take to the impact shield, but she seems to really like it. It doesn't recline which might be an issue for younger children but my daughter happily fell asleep in it the very first time we used it. I'm impressed by the way the seat "grows" with the child as they get taller. Not sure I'd be wanting to use the seat with a 9kg baby as there is nothing between the legs to stop the child slipping down. It's not a problem with my daughter though who weighs 13kg. Overall I'm pleased and would recommend the seat.

Easy to use, safe, good quality, stylish
By dr4d from Wiltshire on 19/08/2013

We were looking for a car seat for our 12 month old that was very easy to transfer between vehicles but didn't compromise on safety. Rear facing is safest but not a practical option for us. We did have some reservations about the impact shield. Our son didn't like it when we tested a seat in the store. We also thought he might get too hot. After A LOT of research we decided to take the plunge because no other seats 'ticked all the boxes' for us. So far I'm really impressed with the Kiddy car seat. It is very light, compact and looks great. The covers are made of a very breathable fabric (like Gore-tex) and are easy to remove and clean. Our son took to it very quickly. He wasn't sure about the impact shield being put on for the first time but as soon as we were moving he relaxed and looked very at home and comfy. You can attach toys to the impact shield to make it less intimidating/more fun. There is great flexibility with this seat (attach with isofix or without isofix, easy installation in different cars, easy to adjust for different age children). The impact shield idea is interesting and is easier to use than I had expected. Grandparents will be able to use it too with minimum training. Drawbacks? Only found one so far. Our son is prone to reflux so the impact shield cover (big target!) has needed cleaning a couple of times already. On the other hand, if he'd been sick on straps they might well be worse to clean. Things to think about when considering this seat: As always with car seats, try before you buy. I think it's fantastic but your experience may be different. We were surprised that the shop assistants we spoke to didn't recommend this seat. I think this is because it doesn't use the more common harness and because some children will need to get used to the impact shield. It is not cheap but we think the quality of this seat is worth it. It will last until our son no longer needs a car seat. It will recline but this is very dependent on the design of the car - our 2009 Mondeo and 2009 Mazda 2 allow enough. This seat might not suit 4x4 owners. You have to reach across the car seat to do up the seat belt which would be trickier with taller vehicles. Also, a rival of Kiddy highlighted a drawback with impact shields in rollover incidents. Rollovers are not a common accident so we felt this seat was still a safer option than harness seats. There will never be a perfect car seat for all types of accident because if it's safer in one kind it's less safe in another.

Easy, Comfortable and Safe
By Babylove from Coulsdon, Surrey on 05/07/2013

This product is so easy to use. Getting my kids in and out of the car is a dream now and they enjoy their chairs. They find it extremely comfortable. I am however happy knowing that they are safe and that they are going to be able to grow with these chairs. These chairs make for easy travelling as well. No more hiring of car seats when we go abroad, our new chairs are able to travel with us as they are aircraft regulated.

Delivery was prompt, the box was massive for the three items that I had ordered, it looked like it had been dropped also. I found it strange that it was supposedly delivered by courier but it was actually a lady in her car.

The delivery was very quick and I can't fault Kiddicare at all but the box on delivery was badly damaged and the walker inside did have some large scratches and dents on it. Luckily it was right at the bottom of the walker so its not in reach of my son hurting himself on it otherwise i would of sent it back. The delivery man was very quick for me to just sign for the box and just saidjust sign for it but put at the bottom unchecked It did annoy me because you could obviously see there was significant damage to the box so would like to have checked it first
