Oscar winner Kate Winslet has revealed that she manages to balance her family life with work commitments by making sure her kids are never far away.
The 33-year-old actress hit back at reports suggesting she spends time apart from her children when on set, telling Movies.ie: "Who the hell is going to go and leave their children for five months? Obviously not me. I would never leave my children for five months, no matter whether they're five, 15, or 55.
"I'm very lucky to be in the position where I can turn to the producers and say, 'Listen guys, I've never been away from my kids before. How are you going to help me?'."
Kate is mum to eight-year-old daughter Mia from her previous marriage to Jim Threapleton and five-year-old son Alfie with husband Sam Mendes.
The family currently share their time between New York and Gloucestershire, where Kate has two homes.
