Mothers are imposing too high standards on themselves and need to relax and be a bit selfish.
Graco Mums who know, go Graco
Reported by the Telegraph, authors Susan Callahan, Anne Nolen and Katrin Schumann, - who have ten children between them - think that women have "impossibly high" standards to live up to these days and are forgetting to take a break for themselves.
They added that being a little bit selfish does not mean taking long holidays away from the children, but rather setting aside small, mental breaks within the day.
"Start with a small shift in your day which is going to bring you a little more peace - listening to music, taking a bath not a shower, watching a funny television programme," explained Ms Nolen.
In a National Childbirth Trust poll, a tenth of parents with new babies said they have absolutely no free time in their day.
