This is great for up to 12 monthers. My daughter is 13 months and can now flip it like a hamster in a wheel. Until they can move, it's absolutely fantastic. The only thing is you can't use a fitted cot sheet with it.

This is a great travel cot, and is so light and easy to carry.
The only down side is that I think we would struggle to use it much beyond a year as if your babies move around at all (as mine do) they would quickly hit the sides and get distressed.
But overall for a travel cot up to a year I think it's great. We bought 2 of them and have used them loads already and the girls always sleep well in them. We're going abroad soon and love the fact that it's got an integrated mosquito net too.

Comments about Samsonite Samsonite Pop Up Bubble Travel Cot Cream:

Having tried friend's travel cots which were hard to assemble, this one was a nice surprise. It took 5 minutes to put up and is snug and cosy. I would recommend putting a sheepskin inside to make it really comfy for baby.
Only downside was trying to put the product back in the bag which took a bit longer.
Comes in handy bag to carry on holiday. Yes, would recommend to a friend.

I have ordered this product ready for use with my firt baby who is due in January 2009. As soon as it arrived i got it out of the carry bag and let go of the fabric, the travel cot popped up in seconds, then all i had to do was fit the matress (that took all of 30 seconds) I then tested it by trying to push the cot over and it did not tip and seems quite sturdy! I also managed to fold the cot away with ease in less that 2 mins so that is an extra bonus. Overall i am very impressed and can't wait to start using it!

We used the cot at my in laws last week. Very easy to set up and cosy for our 10 week old. He had a good sleep in it! The only slight downside is that the mattress is a bit thin and the cot sits directly on the floor. But not a major issue as you can either put the cot on a bed or put blankets underneath it to keep baby warm and comfy. Very neat to store away too. I was suprised at the small bag that it fits into!

We're going to travel around the world for 4 weeks with our new baby and wanted something that was leightweight but also had everything we needed in it. This travel cot was very easy to put up and our son had a nap in it in the flat as soon as we'd assembled it. it it quite long but means you can use it easily as a play pen too. I magine you would have to be careful as they reach the top end of the age range as it s very light weight and could move around if the little ones are walking by then.

Would be excellent for camping, putting in luggage on a plane etc. It's incredibly lightweight and robust with a baby inside but not robust with other children near it falling over it! Standard of fabric, stitching, quality of zips etc. reflected in the price.

Great up to 1yr then after this age can be slightly unstable and/or unsafe as if baby rolls it can tople over.
Great though and easy to use, wraps up into a small bag, fairly light to carry around. Ideal for staying at friends houses or short breaks away.

Almost perfect
By Travelling MumVerified Purchaser from London on 1/19/2008
Pros:
Easy to Assemble, Roomy, Sturdy
Cons:
Uncomfortable
Best Uses:
Infants
Describe Yourself:
First Time Parent
Bottom Line:

Comments about Samsonite Samsonite Pop Up Bubble Travel Cot Cream:

This travel cot is very light and portable and is ready to use in seconds. The only disadvantage is that the mattress is much too thin and uncomfortable so some extra padding is needed. If you are staying in a hotel room and can put blankets or a duvet underneath the cot then the problem is solved but otherwise I recommend taking along a piece of foam mattress cut to size to put inside the cot.

Very compact and light - could fit in my suitcase. Used it when baby was 3 to 4 months and worked well. Could topple over though now that baby older and more mobile!

By JulesVerified Purchaser from Chislehurst on 1/16/2008
Pros:
Compact, Easy to Assemble, Lightweight
Best Uses:
Infants, Newborn
Describe Yourself:

Bottom Line:

Comments about Samsonite Samsonite Pop Up Bubble Travel Cot Cream:

Compared to standard travel cots the Samsonite pop up is so much lighter and more practical if you plan to travel around much. The mattress is as good as any of the heavier travel cots. The downside is that it sits on the floor so you need to have something soft to go underneath it if the floor is not carpeted.

Larger than anticipated

Cons:

Comments about Samsonite Samsonite Pop Up Bubble Travel Cot Cream:

The floor space taken was almost as much as a traditional travel cot and as I needed two for twins they were not practical. On the plus side it was really easy to put up and down. Very light and easily transportable.

Think before you buy!
By CasVerified Purchaser from Haywards Heath on 1/15/2008
Cons:
Unstable
Describe Yourself:
First Time Parent
Bottom Line:

Comments about Samsonite Samsonite Pop Up Bubble Travel Cot Cream:

Product says it can be used up to 18 months but as soon as your baby starts to roll they can tip it over. Even though the product is very light it is not sturdy enough to leave your baby sleeping unattended which lets face it at night is pretty essential!

Really useful travel cot
By DeniseVerified Purchaser from SW London on 1/15/2008
Pros:
Comfortable, Easy to Assemble, Lightweight, Low to the Ground, Roomy, Small when packed
Cons:
Difficult to dissemble
Best Uses:
Infants, Newborn, Toddlers
Describe Yourself:
First Time Parent
Bottom Line:

Comments about Samsonite Samsonite Pop Up Bubble Travel Cot Cream:

Advantages are its light weight and small size - ideal when carrying lots of baby equipment. Also very fast to assemble meaning it is ready to use as soon as you arrive at destination. Disadvantage is that the spring is strong so difficult to put down after use.

good for holidays but not a lot else
By camismumVerified Purchaser from Glasgow on 1/12/2008
Pros:
Easy to Assemble, Extremely light weight, Low to the Ground
Cons:
Difficult to un-assemble, Uncomfortable, Unstable
Best Uses:
Infants, Newborn
Describe Yourself:
First Time Parent
Bottom Line:

Comments about Samsonite Samsonite Pop Up Bubble Travel Cot Cream:

This is a really good travel cot if you are wanting to keep your weight allowance down for travelling or for a night here or there. It literally pops up so very easy to assemble. The only problem is you might have to leave it on holiday as it's so difficult to put back down. The men in our family seem to find it a bit easier than the women so I think it takes a bit of strength to fold it back up. The mattress is very thin also so not very comfortable.
