Lovely gym, my son started playing on it at 6weeks, kicking the duck bell and is now grasping for toys, kicking the foot board for more music, laughing, gurgling, shouting and even rolling over to get to toys, all in just four weeks! He is so happy on it that we have taken it to friends homes when we visit, and he keeps himself entertained for ages. Its great as it can fold up easily and can slip into the car not needing much room. WE find he spends more time on it if we lay his lambswool underneath or just inside, as it isnt very comfy on our wooden floors otherwise! I was reluctant to spend this much money on one toy - but it really is brilliant. We detach come toys for tummy time and have been adding toys you can buy from tiny love (or any toy with place to hook!) to the extra hooks, to give him some variety. Even the two year old friends that come to visit have climbed it and pulled at it and been entertained by it, so hopefully with some variation of whats "hanging" he will enjoy this for many months to come.

Looks ok so far, he is too young to use it properly yet, but lay on it for 40 minutes yesterday content. Sort of what we were hoping. Think it should come into its own as he gets a little older, 5 weeks still pretty young for it.

With so much to do, this is guaranteed to keep your child stimulated throughout the whole time they are in contact with it, so much so that IMHO it will tire your child out to the point where he or she will sleep soundly, thus gaining you, the parent valuable "recharge" time and we ALL know about how much that's needed don't we?

My 2-months old baby boy was really amused by this playmat, he likes staring at toys above him, smiles and talks to them for quite a while! This gives me more time to do things around the house

Given as a present to first baby - and it seems to be the only toy really necessary for the first few months.

Fantastic and keeps babies amused when all else fails. Stimulating for motor and visual skills as well as playing either tunes. The best on the market. Toys can be added to or detached which is an added bonus. I've been using since birth and now my baby is nearly 5 months and loves grabbing for the toys. Useful for tummy time too. And easily folded away when not in use

This product is fantastic! I have bought it for my first grandchild. So much better than the ones we used to have when my children were small. This is very colourful and padded, with a mirror, rattles, music (mozart or nursery rhymes)on a sensor that when the baby kicks this certain part it plays for a short time. The thing I really love is that sound similar to rustling a crisp packet, children love that sound! It is very good and excellent value for money. There is hardly any assembling it just springs out as soon as you take it out of the carrying case (so watch it!) and just have to popper a few things together very simple.

At first I used the baby gym to stimulate my baby's hand-eye coordination. It was fascinating watching her accidently hitting the toys with both her feet and hands and then gradually making this a focus of her attention and grabbing and kicking out deliberately.
As she got a little older I would alternate between fully using the gym and just using the mat. The mat was great as it still has touchy feely elements sown in, which have an assortment of crispy and soft sounds. Without the attachments it was much easier for me to play with my baby and encourage her to roll over.
Another advantage of the mat only option is that it is great when you are visiting friends and family as it folds up easily so you can take it with you.
However, all the attachments are a little cumbersome and you need somewhere to store them when you are not using the gym.

This has been one of our best buys my son started using it at around 8 weeks and is still using it now coming up to 6 months. The toys detatch and can be attached to his pram for example. Each day you could see him doing something different in the gym, from batting the tioys to grabbing hold as he got his co-ordination. The arches come off as your child gets older leaving a play mat which has different textures and sounds for your child to explore. You can also put it in the washing machine which comes in handy. My son rolled over onto his tummy on his own for the first time in this.
Highly re-commended.
