An excellent playpen well constructed and good for the task. However, it is heavier than I had anticipated and slightly more difficult to dismantle if you want to put it away of an evening. Overall though, great for its purpose although I may have purchased the light weight one had I realised how heavy it is.
A functional piece of equipment which provides safe refuge for mobile babies. We decorated the bars with ribbon etc. to make it look less like a prison!! The adaptability of shape is a major asset.
What a relief, I have ten month old twins, and a 5 & 3 year old and finally for the first time in 10 months I just managed to go to the loo. I mean the whole thing, even wash my hands! Before the playpen this was unheard of. I would never make it through the whole process without interuption due to the babies escaping. It is somewhere safe to leave the babies for five minutes while you need to pop somewhere. I love how versatile it is too. We are planning to buy another one and join them together, even though you do get quite a lot of space in just the one. We previoulsy had a travel cot, which is good, but this is much more spacious. You can attached cot toys, making it a whole lovely baby world (or cage as my 5 yr old says). We leave the gate open most of the time, so they can just go in and out as they please, I only close it when I need that time to go and do something, like shower, dinner, loo, open door, etc etc. Also find it very useful if you have more than one child and want to give each their own quality time. We put the babies in the pen for twently minutes and get out the lego etc that isn't allowed all over the floor when they are there. Keeping everyone happy. My babies love trying to pull themselves up on it and take little steps around.
Love it, best on market, cannot go wrong.
The brilliant thing to is how I can change it to a fireguard, room divider etc. Have already imagined my lovely christmas tree with the pen around it, staying in tact and not being bashed.
[...]i use this play pen to keep older siblings away from my 10 month old so he gets to play on his own without a bang on the head also protects him from stairs and sharp corners and surfaces.its mat is soft and cosy so nice to fall asleep in i find this product fab and have no negatives thanks again kiddicare.
This product is sturdy, and easy to access, unfortunatley it is heavy and very large which could be a problem with small rooms. I t should make a square however the closest we got was an oblong which didn't make a good playing space and the mat would only fit in if the playpen was put into the hexegon shape. Having said that providing you have the space to leave it up, as it is quite heavy to keep moving this is a good product, which we are gald we brought
Had to buy a new one for my new grandchild as the other two will not give theirs up.Its too much fun even now they are now at school. It kept them safe when little, now its a castle, a cave, a fort, a pirate ship, anything they want. A favourite play place.
The play pen is almost perfect. It is the right size (you can fit in there with junior). The base is padded and will help keep the litte one away from draughts etc.
Only minor bad point is lining the sides up to form the hexagon is a bit of an ordeal (there are markers to show the correct angle) and requires a bit of effort.
Once set up........ 1st class. A Good product and reasonably priced too.

This is a well built playpen that you can divide up and use in a variety of ways. I split mine and used half of it to protect the Christmas tree and the other half as a fire guard. It is easy to use and looks great. The only thing that I would have liked was the fittings to attach to the wall to be included.

I use this to separate my lounge/diner, so that older children I care for can safely play with their toys eg. lego, whilst the toddlers in my care can play with age appropriate toys on the other side, but it still feels as if they are all together and I can still supervise them all closely. So versitile, as I also sometimes use it filled with balls as a ball pool!
Spent long time on the internet looking for this procust and this site offered by far the best value for money
Ideal, when he first started crawling. Now,at 10 months,it is helping him to gain confidence to stand on his own. When he's put in,when we need to cook etc,he does feel a little trapped, previously having so much freedom to roam, but he soon stops moaning.Couldn't get by without one.Well,we could, but he'd wreck the place!!
The gate entrance is very helpful - no lifting the children in and out of the playpen and they love the fact that most of the time we leave the gate ajar so that they can open and shut it themselves and control their own entry and exit from the playpen. When the gate is shut with the latch, they play quite happily as a result and regard the playpen as their private terriotory. The only downside (it's a very small downside) is that the gate swings easily and the children can get excited swinging it open and shut rapidly. We've solved this by tying a ribbon securely around the end of the gate to the side of the playpen and it just makes it that little bit stiffer to shut and therefore less likely to be swung into someones face.
Very useful, we use ours for storing toys as well as a playpen.
I like this product as it also can be used as a room divider instead of just being a playpen. The downside of it is that you have to contact Babydan to get hold of the wall fittings. Other than that it is a good solid pen which takes alot of beatings. Can be a bit heavy and stiff when you first open up but not really to be complained about if you want it to last.
This is an excellent product would recommend it to anyone who needs to get things done with peace of mind knowing your little one is safe.
It was easy to put together (I did it on my own!) and take apart.
My little one was quite happy in it as she could see out. Especially by the windows.
My husband however refers to it as the prison.
How long do I have to stay in here?

When our son became more "active" we have been looking for something helping us to keep him with us but on the other hand to have the chance to run the daily life, e.g. preparing the meals, sitting in the sun, ironing....
It is a very stable, quickly to install play pen and I can recommend to use it. - If you like to store it, it can easily be folded but an additional cover/bag for this would be helpful.
We purchased two of these and assembled them together to make one very large 10 sided playpen (we could have made an even larger 12 sided one but we hadn't the space. It is robust, study and our twins (12 months old) just love it. They have large safe space to play while we get on with boring stuff like cooking and cleaning. Cannot recommend this enough !!
We use the play pen as a fire guard and has come in very useful in conjunction with the wall attachments.
The remaining sections we use as an ad hoc door gate as and when needed.
Very easy to use and put together.
