I bought this and thought it was much better than a bin - vital in fact. However, the twisty bits are a bit annoying and fall out easily when changing the cartridge. However, my sister has just bought the new nappy bin [...]called angelcare and this is even better still because it uses less plastic so better environmentally - and so when I have my second I will buy this angelcare one instead [...]

We used to put nappies in the bin, and every time the bin was opened, even inside nappy sacks, the smell would be bad. This products eliminates odours and seals each nappy in its own "twist" of wrapper, thus ending the need for individual nappy sacks (although they can be added if you want to).
My four year old son can use the bin, so I would say it's easy to use.

Recommended to me for my first child as an essential. Now with a toddler and newborn I have two, one for upstairs and one for down. It is amazing how those nappies pile up and this takes care of it hygenically and odourlessly!

This product is a great idea, but unfortunately it is not that easy to operate smoothly. All you are meant to do is pop in the cassette containing fresh smelling nappy wrapper, pull out enough length and tie a knot in it. Push this into the bin and whey hey, you're off! When smelly nappy situation arrives, push nappy into bin, twist top and breathe! Smell trapped in bin.
BUT, if you push down too hard this loosens the gripper device which is meant to seal the nappy.
So when you need to empty the bin you find a heap of nappies not sealed properly, which results in the cutter failing to work. You then have to take the chain of nappies out carefully, cut wrapper and run to outside wheelie to avoid spillage!! All in all I think it is far easier to pop offending article in a nappy sack and bin it.

It's great not to have to keep running to the outside bin with every dirty nappy but the plastic bit inside comes away too easily when you push nappies in. Smelly job to fix it!!

This was larger than i expected so make sure you've got the space for it. Its a simple idea but handy to keep all dirty nappies together then empty twice weekly or when full. Not really necessary but if you've got spare space and a few spare pound then go for it
