This bucket is fabulous. It's big enough for a day's worth of reusables. It's a nice shape and colour. It locks. It's easy to wipe clean. It's got little tabs on the corners to secure a nappy mesh bag - and they are the perfect size to take a Tesco bag if you want to use it to store disposables before binning (we're still in newborn eco-disposables at the moment). Worth the premium price
excellent design - love the locking mechanism. dp wasn't keen on the factthe lid unlocks when you are carrying but the lock is good with young ones around (and cats). only neg is the static fromplastic - attracts the hairs and dust from the laminate floor but no big deal really. just a cosmetic thing. :)
This a good size nappy bucket and with lockable lid - perfect for inquisitive fingers. There are hooks on the rim which are perfect for attaching the nappy laundry bags which make transfering nappies into the washing bin very easy. As the bucket is square, it's much better at fitting it into a corner rather than a lot of the round bins that are available. The only negative was that the labels didn't peel off very easily and we had to use white spirit to remove all remnants of them.
The size of this bucket is fine, I was slightly disappointed with the locking mechanism and wonder whether I would have been better with a cheap kitchen pedal bin?! My first thoughts were:a lot of money for what it was but it is easy to carry round the house, when soaking the nappies the water is sealed and the smells are too. I would recommend A Nappy Bucket as I am sure all nappy buckets are similar! This one in particular is a good size and can hold a lot of nappies.
this is my 2nd child and I have tried to be greener this time round. I use both biodegradable and re-useable nappies This bucket keeps all the smells in when using re-useable nappies, it's not too big so easy to find a good spot for it and you don't leave it too long before you wash them.
