My baby is 5wks old and just started to use these nappies. They are not bulky and are very neat and comfortable. Very happy with this product and well worth the intial cost.
The birth to potty pack is a big expensive to begin with but after seeing how many nappies my daughter uses in a day I'm glad we don't have to pay for disposables all the time. I have also noticed that using resusables also is better for my baby's bottom as she doesn't suffer much with nappy rash. The nappies have great absorbency once they've been washed a couple of times, however we found this out the hard way as we didn't know to wash them several times before use or that you shouldn't use fabric softener with them as that decreases absorbency. Overall I would highly recommend this product.
The pack contains all you will need to go reusable (famous last words)
This nappy system is quite expensive and at first i was really excited. I followed all the instructions but found I was changing my child every hour, two at the most and they still leaked both urine and faeces. Clothes didn't fit him over the nappy and I had to buy the next size up, which looked ridiculous and the covers dug into his tummy when he sat up leaving red lines on his skin. we tried again when he could sit, the nappy restricted his movements, he couldn't roll over. I will try again when he is more mobile purely to get some use out of them, but to be honest i'm not holding out much hope. I'm thinking of looking into a worm composting system to help the environment.
Excellent nappy system product, covers from the day they are born until they grow out of nappies-good patterns and design and even quite styley
I use these nappies all the time.. They are better than disposables in my opinion.
All I would say is that they take a little practise, give them at least a week before you form an opinion about them. The nappies need a few washes at first to make them more absorbant but after that they are fantastic. They are slim fitting too so I find that my 6 week old daughter can fit into all her newborn clothes. I wish I had discovered the bambino mio 4 years ago when I had my first daughter.
My daughter is nine months old and my husband I have been using these since she was two weeks old - they are fantastic.
Don't get me wrong, they do take a bit of getting used to; my washing machine seems to be permanantly on these days (cannot be blamed fully on the nappies, mostly to do with my husband and his car fixing "hobby") and I must admit to using disposables at night time, purely because I fear being woken up at 3am to change her and God knows I need all the sleep I can get these days!! Another slight criticism is that I did have to buy a couple of extra wraps just to make sure I always had spares as in the early days there were plenty of accidents, but now she's older three are enough to manage with. I also couldn't get on with the liners, my daughter is a real wriggler and I found they got twisted up inside the nappy rendering them useless, but this could just be my experience of them and I saved money by not buying anymore once the ones in the starter pack had run out.
On the upside my daughter has honestly never ever had nappy rash, the nappies themselves look clean and fresh, dry easily on a radiator/airer, are a highly absorbant, eco friendly option for parents who want to save a stack of cash by not purchasing disposables and are willing to put in a bit of extra effort.
Very excited about these nappies and friends who use them say they are great. Baby not arrived yet so I am looking forward to trying them out! Only bad thing was the extra training pants never arrived with the package but all the other extras are great and we defiantly will save loads of money!
These are great if you are trying to be a bit more eco-friendly like i was! they advertise that its cheaper than disposibles well dont be fooled because by the time you have bought all the extras for washing ect... i dont believe they are. Also as a working mum i found these very time consuming and very smelly... even though i washed them daily (are they really that much more economical if like me you feel the need to wash them on high temps daily?!) they are a pain transporting as there so big and bulky which is also a problem when baby is wearing them as these days clothes are made for disposible nappies so i found a lot of trousers simply didnt fit or made my baby look out of propotion and silly! (ok i will admit i am abit of a fussy parent in that i like my children to look the part!!)
So i guess overall i think there a waste of money and if im honest i stopped using them on a nighttime after first week due to them constently leaking, stopped using them outside house in day after first month or so (because of been bulky and smelly and making clothes not fit) and when i went to work when my baby was 4 months old ditched them completely as they are so inpractical! so they are strictly spares only now!!!!
[...] The products themselves were great fab quality, really impressed by how non-bulky they were, the covers look great (very cute). Can't wait for the arrival of my little'n to put them into use, Im sure they be great, they look fab & easy to use. I would recommend this system.
With our first daughter we used disposable nappies, never even considered using anything else, but when we found out we were expecting again i set about looking for alternitives as i found it heartbreaking paying so much for nappies. I came across the bambino mio pack and thought it was an excellent idea. Ive got to say that i dont think i would ever use disposables again. Although it takes a little getting used to the small amount of extra work (by this i literally mean, putting them in and washing them) is well worth it, the [$] we spent, although feels like alot to begin with has been saved over and over again by not having to buy bags of nappies

Im a first time mum, and have a 6 month old daughter. From when she was born I used disposable nappies, as in them early newborn days i felt they were more conveinient. Had i have tried Bambino Mio sooner my thoughts would be different.
I purchased the birth to potty premium pack. It has everything you need when it comes to reusable nappies. and at a reasonable price. I know you are shelling out some money at first, but if you compare that to the money you would spend in buying disposables then your quids in!!
I also feel happy that i am doing my bit for the environment, Its quite shocking to think that a disposable nappy takes around 500 years to degrade, and when it is decomposing it releases harmful toxins etc.
The nappy is great because its leak resistant, as it has an inner waterproof lining, and soft elastic round the legs.
Ive also found that Its not a bulky nappy, where as some other types of reusables appear to be more bulky than the mio.
I like the fact that if the nappy cover is not soiled then you can just give it a wipe and pop in a fresh cotton nappy, (saves on washing and cost!)
The covers are a great practical modern design and stylish.
With using reuseables you will have to put in effort with laundering the nappies etc. But i find that not so bad, as i like using the soaking method(bambino and sanatiser, and tea tree oil),I rinse the nappies through every other day,and give them a quick spin cycle. then they dry out over night next to a hot radiater. My nappies are whiter than white, If i have a heavily soiled nappy then i will soak it for longer, with some earth friendly non chlorine bleach and then wash in the machine. I will put all my nappies in the machine about once every 2 months on a 90 cycle and thats all they seem to need, so it is very cost effective by laundering them in this way.
The covers just need a warm wash, no soaking is needed. Its important that the nappies are all washed a few times before use, otherwise your little ones will be spinging leakes as they are not absorbent!
These nappies are extremley great for preventing nappy rash!! When my daughter was using disposables she had nappy rash on numerous occasions, even though her nappies were changed frequently. Since using these nappies, nappy rash is a thing of the past!!!!I truly mean this.
I hope my review will be of use to you, and in time i hope disposables will be gone for good!
can be a little tricky to start with folding the nappies but worth every minute. Despite the initial outlay it will save a fortune in the long run and is much better for the environment.
Obviously I was concerned about how time consuming and practical using these would be but I have sensibly decided to use them most of the time but use disposables when we are out and about. I haven't found them bulky nor had to put my daughter in the next size up in clothes because they of their size(which some brands cause). I think if you are realistic about how you are going to use them then they are definitely a bonus and not a hindrance. Looking back if I hadn't bought them while I was pregnant and started using them when my daughter was just 2 weeks old I would probably have stuck to disposables but I'm so glad that I didn't.
This was a great buy, quite expensive as an initial cost but definitely worth it in the long run. The nappies are easy to use and baby seems happy in them, the only bad thing was the instructions on folding nappy could have been better and we did have a few accidents to start! definitely a brill investment.
Fab, nearly everything you need for cloth nappies at a great price. My daughter is breastfed and therefore loose poos mean it quite often leaks onto the wrap so you do need to buy additional wraps to those provided otherwise you very quickly run out. However, the wraps themselves have never leaked onto clothing once I got the correct fold - more than I can say for the few disposables that we have used.
The nappies and wraps dry very quickly so fast turnaround if you do get low on either wraps or nappies.
I bought these as I wanted to use reusables as they are cheeper and I also wanted to help the environment. I was impressed how easy they are and that they come clean so easy. They can be left for 3 days in the bucket and then washed at 60 degrees and they are still white. They keep my baby dry for about 3 hours, but if you leave them on longer they do tend to leek, but all in all I am really pleased with them.
