We only had this highchair a day and my 6 month old was sick everywhere but it was so easy to clean and wipe down. It was also easy to unfold and set up and mostly assembled already, just had to sort out the harness and the 2 extra bars that fix to the legs which are wrapped in box, nearly didn't see them! Tray can be moved to the back and as we live in a flat we can fold away when not using. Perfect for my little one who loves sitting in it and rocking backwards and forward so very sturdy/robust unlike other more wobbly highchairs. Shame it didn't come with cushion but you get what you pay for and we are so pleased with it. We have had 2 compliments since it arrived. Looks stunning can't wait to take away with us, just hope my little one doesn't get too big for it. Highly recommended

Great highchair. Looks lovely, easy to clean and you only have to assemble two bars on the bottom. I think a bar between the legs would have been great so that when your child is a little older you might not have had to strap them in every time, but then if they did that I can't see how they would have been able to provide the flip over tray which is extremely handy when pushing it up to the table. I love it and have had a few alternatives with child number one and this is the best by far.

Very good quality, fits in with the dining room furniture. Tray folds back so that the high chair can be pushed up to the table. I suppose the only downside is that the tray does not come off (unless you dismantle), and the lip is very shallow, so I can forsee lots of bending down and retriving stuff. But overall am very happy with it.

Having looked at lots of highchairs and read all the reviews,I wanted ahighchair that looked nice but would also last and work well. I was really impressed when took it out of the box, pretty much assembled and looked fab, solid, secure and neutral.Putting my 6 mth in I was really disappointed that the tray wont fit over his head when he is seated in it or it wont extend out to put him in,without it doing either it makes it difficult to get him in and as he is already 9kg/20 lbs he wont fit in it for long!
I am really upset as it looks great and now that my husband has thrown away the box, it is money wasted we havent got!

Lightweight, simple and very practical. Our son is very happy in this highchair (but that might just be because he loves eating)!! It takes up minimal space and we like the idea that as he gets older we can flip the tray over and he will be able to eat at the table with us.

Really glad we bought this high chair. We wanted a folding wooden highchair for our 6 month old and this was the only one we could find. Really sturdy, looks nice and made more snug with a standard highchair insert. The only downside is that the tray is quite shallow and it doesn't completely come off, but it does swing over to the back of the chair (when child's not in it!).

Bought this highchair for looks, not for comfort, as it goes with my kitchen (yes, I am going to "bad mother hell"), but did relent in the end and bought a cushion for it in John Lewis. Now my baby fits in it more shuggly and doesn't bang his head. I loved the fact that it's delivered nearly whole (only had to attach the pendestal)as I couldn't fact having to put it together in kit form like my bugaboo.

Fits well in our small kitchen. Looks good and goes with other wooden furniture. Our 6-month-old is comfortable in it when used with a padded insert. Folds away easily, but we tend to keep it up at the table as it is so compact. Only drawback is it is you cannot adjust the height, but the tray does flip over to the back and it's not too high, so you feel like your baby is sitting at the table with you.

firstly, it looks better than the photo. the colour of harness not black but beige so it really matchs well. very compact and easy to use.
it could be used without tray.
many of stokke(with basic baby set it's almost three times expensive!) ads say without tray children could be part of family life.
i also believe it is important to socially include children, especially around the table.
but sometimes we do need tray.
that's why i choose this traditional but amasingly compact high chair.

Easier to clean than your average plastic chair. It blends in with the rest of our kitchen/dining furniture being wood rather than garish plastic. Also the catches and fastenings are made of metal so I think will be much more robust. Our previous highchair only lasted a few months because the moving parts were plastic so once broken, unrepairable.

Another plus is the harness can be removed and washed easily.

This is the only, small, negative.
Its a good looking sturdy chair that looks handsome in the kitchen.

It is easy to clean and looks great with the rest of our furniture. I have read reviews about plastic high chairs that are bulky and look awful in a nice modern kitchen.
Bad points are her bottom does sometimes slip forward so we have to push her back. She is still not sitting up unaided so can bang her head on the back. These things will all be solved when she grows a bit (as I say an early weaner).
I am very happy with the chair, would recomend it and is very good value for money.

This chair is so easy to keep clean with a removable insert (you have to buy one separately) and withstands all the banging and gnawing that a baby being weaned can throw at it. I love that you can flip the tray over the back, put baby in and bring it to the table as a 'chair' so baby can be part of your meal and not have the tray in the way. The tray isn't huge but is more than large enough for a plate, drink, and snacks for baby to pick up. We love this chair!

We use the highchair for our 2 year old at our dinner table so she can sit with us. We don't use the tray as she likes to eat on the table with us.
The rubber stoppers on the base of the chair make it very hard to move the chair once child in it as they stick to floor, so you end up lifting the whole chair to move it in and out.
It's sturdy and easy to clean.

Needs the cushion for a bit of comfort, for the smaller babies.
Great chair that isn't too bulky and fits well into a dinning room suite.

Hard To Clean, Tray is poor design

Bottom Line:
No, I would not recommend this to a friend

The high chair looks good and works well with other dining room furniture. It is also very stable.

I found though that as the tray is not removable its difficult to clean. Also very quickly my baby has managed to unscrew the tray fixings and it can now not be moved back.

There also seem to be many other nooks and crannies which food can get stuck in.

This chair is much easier to keep clean than any other high chair we've tried before. Most of the plastic equivalents all seem to have many nooks and crannies to get food stuck in and this is a much simpler design with less places to clean. Also no plastic to crack, rip etc. It wipes down easily and also looks good so fits in with the rest of the furniture. A good buy if you want a baby chair in your nice dining room, but also looks good in the kitchen or anywhere. It can be used with the tray or without so when baby gets bigger they can sit at the big table easily. With the insert in, there isn't too big a gap between baby and tray - another problem we'd had with previous high chairs. I probably wouldn't recommend it for a very small baby though, but once ours was out of the bouncy chair and sitting up properly this was fine for them.
The only disadvantages are that it doesn't stand up that well when folded so you need to lean it against a wall, but then it looks good so I don't mind leaving it out anyway. If you do fold it, it doesn't take up as much space as some of the bit sturdy plastic highchairs but I would watch where you put it so that a small child couldn't pull it over. Being made of wood, it could be a bit hard for a small baby but the padded insert works fine, our 10 month old likes to throw himself around, bouncing back and forwards in the chair etc. and so far he hasn't hurt himself or managed to rock the chair over... All in all I think it's been a great buy - good value, does the job well and a nice piece of furniture that should last us well, we love it!

Good, solid high chair. No gimmicks or shiney plastic, it does exactly what it says on the tin. I like this chair because not only is it very easy to clean but it also doesn't take up too much floor space and can be folded flat out of the way.
On the down side it is quite heavy, so not much good for easy transportation, but at the same time the weight make it very stable. It would take a very strong toddler to rock it over!

I wish this highchair had been available when my children were babies. It's just perfect and looks fantastic in the kitchne or dining room. The fabric cushion washes well and makes the highchair very cosy. The tray is of good size and folds away neatly to allow the chair to be used at the table.

I wanted to buy a highchair that went well with our 'country' look kitchen. Something not too bright but tradtional looking. This highchair matched the criteria perfectly. It's easy to wipe down and most inserts fit it well.
It packs away nicely and doesn't look out of place in the home. Good for boys and girls and ever so sercure and sturdy.

I started out with one of the cheapest plastic highchairs we could buy. At the time it was before our baby was born so I wasn't really sure what I wanted. Very quickly I found that the plastic ones are hard to clean in the seams and quickly look grubby. I opted for a wooden one and relegated the plastic one to Grannie's! The East Coast folding highchair was a good option and reasonably priced from Kiddicare. It is easy to clean and sturdy although I guess that means it is a bit heavier but we don't move it. It also has the option of flipping the tray overhead to become a chair at the table so is very versatile in that sense. It is an ideal height for our table although this is something you should check as it is not adjustable. I am very pleased with it and it works well with the fabric inserts you can buy cheaply to help with younger babies.

Looks nice but some fundamental flaws

No instructions for strap, Should have a central bar

No, I would not recommend this to a friend

My baby is 10 months and she still slumps down in the highchair as the straps don't fit very well round the Eggbert and Clover cushion and there is no central bar to keep her upright. It needs a central bar! (didn't think about that when I bought it).
But I love the simple design and it is easy to clean.

Really like this high chair because...
It's not too big, but it?s very stable. I liked the idea that I can fold it, but as its design is quite compact, I don't bother and it stays in the same place. I really like the fact that as it's all wood, it looks smart, it's really easy to clean and there's no plastic parts that will split or break over time. It wipes clean really easily and it should last a long time as the tray flips over the back of the chair when not needed so the seat can be used up against a normal table when the baby is older. My only very slight gripe is with the tray - I wish the tray had slightly higher sides as I think this would help with less food and spills on the floor. Having said that, this is an economy priced wooden chair and I think I got good value for money. I initially bought a separate high chair insert cushion to provide a bit of extra padding, which I now don't use but was useful when my baby was younger. You can also unscrew the straps from the chair so that you can give them a good scrub and a soak if needed.

Nice and simple to use

Really simple to use and clean. The tray folds back neatly so it can easily be pulled right up to the table for use as a chair.

The only negative I have found is that it isn't very supportive for young or small babies - my daughter did slump over to one side a bit when she was smaller.
I would also recommend buying a cushion/liner
