Got this seat because my 10 month old was getting really frustrated in his tradional padded chair. He loves this chair. He can see all around him, can sit at the table with us & is at the perfect height for eating off the table. Its so much smaller than the other highchair, so makes the kitchen look tidier as well. Found it very easy to assemble despite other reviews. Highly recommend it.

I had a really old plastic highchair for my daughter and after seeing friends with the wooden highchairs I decided to invest in a new one. I had tried my son in one to see how he'd like it and he loved sitting up straight. We've had the chair for 3 days and my son is already loving sitting in it and joining in at meals. I love the fact that its easy to clean, it goes well with our furniture and is really compact and small so fits around the table just right. Only drawback is when putting together we found the screws for the harness were hard to tighten up.

I received great service from Kiddicare.com.

We have found the Babydan chair to be really useful. We use the chair mainly at mealtimes to enable baby to eat with us and share a meal together, but also baby sits in it quite happily watching us do chores; washing-up, preparing meals, etc.

It is great that the chair is adjustable so that it can grow with baby, however when we do adjust the seat height we will have to replace the nuts to the bolts because they are cross threaded.

A great looking chair that actually goes really well with our old farmhouse table and country kitchen! Obviously can only be used at the table as it doesn't have its own attached table (wipeable surface or tablecloth a must!) Bumper bar could do with being bigger, as it gets harder to get your little one in as s/he gets bigger - we stopped using it at around 11 mths. WARNING: Be careful if your table has sides/overhang, as our daughter was able to push her feet up against the table and tip the whole chair backwards. This surprised me as it's actually a really stable chair - just shows that you always need to expect the unexpected where kids are concerned! On the whole though, it's a great chair for using at the table - lets your little one properly join in at mealtimes.

I think this chair looks a lot better in the pictures than it actually is. It is made from rubber wood which looks really cheap. (It is a sustainable wood though so i shouldn't complain too much).
It wasn't the easiest to assemble or adjust and the screws are easily crossthreaded.
Most annoyingly it's a little to short for my dinning table! Should be ok when my son has his next growing spurt though. I wish i had went for the stokke tripp trap instead.

I bought this chair for my 5-month-old daughter so she could sit with us at mealtimes. She loves to be at the table with us and has begun to show lots more interest in food than before I bought the chair. The baby seat can be easily removed and the seat and footplate heights adjusted as the child grows up. I'm now thinking about buying another chair for my 3-year-old son.

As a first timer, it didn't occur to me that the lack of tray would be a problem. It's great if my son is sitting at the table with us but not so useful to feed him on his own. Also, the wooden restrainer at waist level is not adjustable (without removing screws) therefore if he is unwilling to sit in it, it is very difficult to get him in without fear of hurting his legs. Looks good and I hope it will be more useful as he gets older. (He is 6 months currently).

I have a danchair for my two year old and just bought another for my 5 month old daughter. They are brilliant chairs as we can all sit up at the table together for meals. I wasn't sure if my 5 month old would have sufficient sitting balance to use it, but with the danchair cushion (the one with side supports) she sits really well and it has made weaning easier. The chairs appeal to me as they promote optimum independence with eating as the seat height and footrest can be adjusted to suit the individual baby/child. It is heavy but takes up less room than many highchairs that have integral tables as you can tuck it under the dining table. I would consider using an additional safety harness (over the shoulders) for small babies / toddlers.

I purchased this chair for my 6 year old son, he is very tall for his age but still not tall enough to sit to the table on a normal dining chair. Also my son finds it hard to sit still if his feet are dangling so the footplate has helped too. Having had a similar chair, which we now use for our youngest child, I was concerned that my son might think it babyish. However, without the safety bar and harness, the Dan chair looks more grown-up than similar designs. If you have very young child then these chairs are excellent and if you have an older child who is struggling to sit at the table then I can't recommend it enough. We are all pleased with the new chair.

This is a good looking high chair similar to the Stokke, but cheaper. However, we don't find this very high and our girls at seven months don't reach the table in it so still have to bend over to feed them. With two chairs it is a bit of a squeeze at the table to the length of the legs at the bottom. I think it will come into its own when they are bigger but as they are quite small it is a bit of a pain at the moment having to move them around and bend over due to the height of the seat.

I'm very happy with the highchair as it sits well at the kitchen table and helps our 5 month old baby join in at mealtimes. I wasn't happy to use my first child's highchair again as it was so big, not attractive and difficult to clean. I was swayed by features that weren't necessary - this one keeps it simple and I can move it around so baby can watch me while I do my housework. The cushion is necessary for small babies. Super value.

We love this highchair, it sits at our dining table perfectly making feeding easy and giving our 6 month old a great view of everything. It was easy to assemble (20mins max) and looks great (no bright pink monstrosities here!). We haven't got cushions or an extra harness and she sits up fine in it. You can't take it out with you as it's a bit bulky and doesn't fold, but you wouldn't want to put it away as it looks so nice.

I bought this highchair for my two-year old and am getting one for my four-year old as it is ideal for larger children too and helps them sit properly at the table. I have not used it for a baby, so can't comment on the infant safety bar etc. However, I wish I had bought this four years' ago. A cheaper and just as stylish version of a more well-known infant-to-child highchair!

We have 2 children, a 4 year old and a 14 month old so decided to buy 2 of these. We have tried so many high chairs in the past, not thinking that investing a lot of money was worthwhile. I wish we had started with these when our eldest was a baby.

The Dan Chair is great for all ages (as long as baby can sit unassisted and does not need to rest head on chair back). It helps older children to sit well at the table and gives support for their legs/feet.

Look great along side other furniture.

Only cons are that they are fixed and therefore when you don't want them around, you need to have the space to store them. Assembly was a little frustrating, some of the bolts did not have a particularly good thread. However as I bought 2, the 2nd one proved much easier!

All round very good value for money.

We really love this highchair. Our 9month old gets to sit up to the table and eat with us (& bang his toys)! It looks nice and has become part of our kitchen! It seems really comfortable with the padded seat (extra) and he'll happily sit in it and play for a while whilst we are busy preparing food. It feels really solid and theres no fear of it tipping over. On the down side, clearly you can't fold it away so you have to live with it out and my dad has tripped over it on more than one occassion (although he is the only one!).

This highchair offers our baby a better seating position at the dining table than other similar products we considered.

The chair is not portable and the fabric covered insert is not easliy cleaned. However, being made of wood, this stylish chair fits in easily with our other furniture rather than being a plastic eyesore and our baby sits very comfortably and safely in it -she is quite little for her age and had a tendency to slip about in the plastic highchairs we tried her in.

This is my second highchair that I have bought for our daughter. The first drove me mad with squashed biscuits/food etc under the attached padded cushion. This chair is great as you can take the pad off easily and clean away all the food debris from dinner time.

Now that my daughter is two we use it as an open fronted seat so she is the correct height at the table, which makes her feel very important.

Chair is made from high quality wood and the design is also great for sliding under the dining table to save space.

A great buy would definately reccommend this chair.

Excellent high chair that can be used until the children are quite old. I have three children under 8 and they all have one.

Used as a high chair for a my 18 month old, would not have been supportive enough for a young baby, so this is our replacemment highchair for the next stage. excellent value for the money, possibly not as easy to alter settings as other more expensive chairs but half the price. Have been very pleased, will last for many years to come.

Very easy to build (made it in 10 minutes); design is sharp; very sturdy-could probably seat an adult!; but the best feature is the physics of it... our daughter constantly rocked back and forth in her previous high chair, but with the Dan chair, she can hardy move it!
