The bumbo seat is great for baby to sit up and look around....but my baby wants it to do someting as he always wants to be up on his feet or kicking his legs.I would recommend if your baby is hapy to just sit and if u can sit with him/her and play with there toys/rattles with them. I dont think its worth [$]and wil only be used for a few months but we r planning to have more babies so might come in useful later. im still not sure about it tho?????????????????
When I first saw the Bumbo I was not at all impressed and thought it was just a gimmick, but my grandson enjoyed sitting in his Bumbo until he was nearly 2 years old. Now my granddaughter needs one!
My daughter had a bumbo and we thought it was great. With another child on the way it was top of my priorities list to get before he arrives
The Bumbo is an excellent idea highly recommended for all mums who wished they had another pair of hands.
Your baby can sit unaided and be with you wherever you go.
My son loved to sit in this and watch me around the house.
I even used to put him in the bathroom whilst in the bath!
Even great for sitting him in the garden, at the beach or in a restaurant.
Plus you have the added bonus of your baby learning to sit much earlier than normal.
My son is 6 months old and he can now sit unaided.
It truley is remarkable! Definitely a MUST buy!
This product is great - it allows my twin boys to sit and be part of family interaction, can be quite unstable if your baby like to wiggle and bounce.
what an ingenius little invention!wish i had bought mine earlier as my son throws up if laid down after eating but hates being strapped in so this is ideal for "allowing food to settle in tummy" time!however my 8month old is the size and weight of the average 0ne year old but without the bodystrength and managed to rigidly straighten his entire body and roll out of his bumbo [...]:)
excellent product allows child to feel independent. gives mum two hands to do other jobs. great for feeding playing or just for a child to sit in. a must have for any mum.
We use this for feeding our son lunch in! Yoghurt etc wipes off really easily!
He also uses it to sit on the floor and 'chat' to his older brothers.
Also good outside - watching dad cut the lawn!
This product is excellent and very handy, especially when weaning. I would recommend it to any new mum. There are so many baby products on the market these days that you end up with expensive things that are hardly used, this however won't be one of them. We use ours everyday and its so easy to put in the car boot and take with you anywhere. We have used it for both the girls and they loved being sat upright so that they could see what was going on. The only problem is that it is used for a limited time - therefore my advise is buy this but buy it second hand.
Having out grown their bouncy chairs my twins are still not mobile and needed a way of being sat up and entertained. I had, had the Bumbo chairs mentioned to me by a friend.
My twins love them, it means they can see each other and everyone else better and join in playing with their big brother.
Wish we had got them sooner!!

Handy to help us keep a windy baby upright, however he soon passed his phase of sitting upright in it & moved onto leaning over to play with toes. Covering toes with a cloth didn't work as he then started leaning over the side & chomping on the plastic! Basically there's no incentive to keep him sitting in there & quickly became redundant.
an excellent item which is very strong & comfortable for baby to sit in unaided.
My little boy absolutely loves his bumbo. He is now 4 months old but has been using the bumbo for a few weeks as he is quite strong and has good head control. He loves to sit in it as it allows him to see what is going on around him so he doesn't feel he's missing out on anything! It is so useful as it seems to offer him a lot of support around his back as the back of the seat comes up quite high around him. I'm so glad we purchased this as it's been used so much. It may seem a little expensive for what it is, but we have found it really good value for money as he will be able to use it for a long time to come and I think it will last. The only bad thing I can think of is that there does not seem to be a great range of colours to choose from.
my 5 month old sits in it while I feed her and we also play when she sits in it as it keeps her sitting upright as she can not yet do it without support
My son loves to be unright looking around, the Bumbo is perfect for this. He is secure and comfortable.
It is so easy to keep clean and children sit happily, safely and comfortably in it while you get on with what you need to.
It is so good, I bought one for each of my two friends.
As a childminder it is an excellent resource for involving babies in group play and circle time. As a mum I wish I had had one when my children were babies.
easy to use. good when first start weaning, as it supports the baby.
Excellent product.I use it to feed the twins. It helped speed up their ability to sit up.They use a bumbo play tray so they have been able to play sat up wind easily and stay put safetly while I am busy.
Good practical product particularly for early weaning
We have 2 other children besides our baby twins and so the Bumbos are essential in our house! They allow us to feed the babies easily and also for the twins to be upright at 5 months and observing what's going on. Other seats are at an angle and the babies just aren't as happy. These Bumbos are really supportive and wonderful! Totally recommended!
This was a great product when baby can't sit independently, it enables them to see a new level rather than always lying down and interact with older siblings. It is useful as you know the baby will be where you left them especially when they start to roll!! Now the baby can sit up independently he finds it frustrating and leans back in it and side ways he has not managed to get out yet but not far off!! (He is 6 months old) therefore, not using any longer so great short term product.
Our 6 month old was no where near sitting up unsupported and getting very frustrated with having to remain flat. Using pillows as a prop does not always work so we invested in the Bumbo.
Really suprised by the texture of the seat as it looks like hard plastic on the web.
Became a good seat for weaning before baby was big enough for a high chair and easy to transport around in the car.
Now he is crawling he is just about our grown it and can twist his way out so can not be left alone in it any more.
I Bought this for my second child, so we could all interact (mom, big sis and baby) without me having to hold baby all the time, and prevent big sis getting to jealous of the amount of physical contact a baby requires. it allows baby to be involved in the action.
I found the bumbo very good when I had friends round with older children as my son loves to watch them play and the bumbo was perfect for that.
Before we invested in a highchair, we used the bumbo for feeding my son. As he got older though, I found that he lifted his body up as if trying to get out.

I really like the Bumbo for my son who is now 6 months. I use it to feed him and to sit him in for playing. However, he can't sit for a very long time in it (10 min max) as he seems uncomfortable after that from trying to support himself. Moreover, out of all my friends with similar aged babies, I am the only one who uses it. All the other babies can climb out by leaning over and sort of 'falling out'. It seemed for most of my friends there was very little time where their baby was big enough to sit in the Bumbo and support their own head to their baby climbing out. If you know someone who already has a Bumbo, try your baby in it to see if he likes it/ stays in it. If not, it's probably a bit of a gamble and might be better to go for a bouncy chair instead.
It's easy to keep clean- just wipe.
It is brilliant, helps baby to sit. Has many uses, I fed my baby whilst he was sat in it. he watched the TV, and played with books whilst sat in it. I could also take it with me when I went to freinds and relitives. I can't find anything bad about it.
Great for weaning your little one especially when they're not too good at sitting up and too small for a high chair. Keeps them stable and happy and best of all it easily wipes clean afterwards.
