A great step towards a proper cup without the risk of throwing the entire contents over their face by tipping it too far! It only took a few tries for my son to get the hang of it. Can also be used with a straw.
This is really good when making the transition from beaker to cup. The only down side is sometimes the air gets trapped inside the cup and the liquid doesn't flow throw the hole easily. You just need to take the top off and on to solve it.
Both older kids used these instead of anything else from 6 months, by 12 months they could use a proper cup and by 15 months do so fairly reliably. Great at preventing the face full of water that comes with learning how to drink properly, and hence much less mess!
The lid seemed great for the first few sips but then the drink would stop coming out. The only way to make it flow again was to take the cup away and start again or to tip it higher - obviously my toddler automatically tips it higher and then gets covered in her drink.
