Absolutely brilliant! We bought this for a number of reasons - mainly to take on holiday when we go in a caravan as it is the only one we could find suitable for slated bed bases amd secondly as we were unsure if our son would need one on his cotbed when we turned it into a toddler bed. Well we turned his cot into a bed and thought he'd be ok but once we put him to bed he got scared as it was too open so I actually put this together in the dark! Thats how easy it it!! Also I don't think it mentioned it when I bought it but it folds up really small and comes with a travel bag so is perfect for holidays as well! Definitely the best product for the money! Would highley recommend!

The baby dan bed guard is excellent, specially as our daughter wriggles around the bed in her sleep as though she's looking for something. does exactly what it says which is keeps her from falling out of bed, only one complaint really when she is climbing in and out the corner at the top are a little less padded than would like and a couple of times she's caught her self climbing out leaving a bit of a graze.

We bought this to at first put on our double bed as at the moment our daughter is sleeping with one of us most of the time due to teething and being unwell. Before i would put loads of pillows around her but as she fidget's i got worried that she would fall out but this gives me peace of mind that she is safe. We will then use it on her bed once she moves out of her cot. The only thing that i can say which might not be so good is that if too much pressure is appled to it i.e leaning against it - which lots of kids will do - it may fall back.

Easy to construct and reasonable price but one main drawback. When my child lent against guard, the whole mattress started to lift up. She isn't very heavy and it relies on the weight of the child to help hold it down (Along with the strap). Once I had tied the bars underneath with string, it worked a treat. It does fold down easily.

Previous to looking on this website all the bed guards I had seen were either blue or pink, so finding one in black was prefect! I am currently using the bed guard for my son but intend to use it for my daughter when she moves into a bed.

The bed guard came in a lovely black drawstring bag and was very quick and easy to assemble. Even with a toddler trying to climb on it! My son was moving into a divan bed and it takes seconds to fit to the bed once assembled. It is very sturdy and does exactly the job its ment to do!

I bought this product after doing lots of research, i have just bought bunk beds for my little boys and was looking for a guard that fitted a slatted base. Although the guard does it cannot be folded down but this isnt really a problem as if it could be done it would probably give my sons something else to mess around with. :)The guard was easy to assemble and move but that doesnt mean there were not any expletives of frustration uttered before I worked out how to do it - instructions could be slightly clearer. The colour is good I am not a fan of the pale blues that there things generally come in so it was refreshing to see it come in such a universaly useful colour - black. The guard is very stable when fitted and I now dont feel the need to rush in every half and hour checking my son has not fallen out of bed. I also folds down into its own little bag for those visits to relatives. Would definately recommend this to anybody looking for a bed guard.

We moved our toddler from a cot straight to an adult bed so most of the guards on the market wouldn't fit. This guard can fit all bed types including a slatted bed (which ours is).
Child felt secure right away and its strong enough to withstand her climbing and jumping
I was anticipating having nights of 'rapid return' but this didn't happen and we've had good sleep from the first night with the guard in place.
Its also cheaper than many guards on the market which is a bonus!

We were struggling to find a bed guard that fitted our son's thomas the tank engine junior bed, and then found this on the internet which fits his bed perfectly. I was a little dubious about ordering this as I had never heard of the website before, but we ordered it on a wednesday and it came on friday morning, so I will be ordered again.

Bottom Line:

We bought this product to use for my 2 year old when going from cotbed to bed and eventually into a proper single bed. It is easy to assemble although we had problems when trying to fit it onto the bed as the instructions did not seem to make sense. We ended up tying the straps to the slats on the base but that seemed to do the job just fine. It feels very sturdy and looks good when fitted and my 2 year old is a real wriggler and has not managed to fall out of the bed yet!! It does fold down simply by realeasing two catches which gives easy access to the bed but we have not used this function as he climbs in the end of the bed and the cotbed is not high enough to enable it to sit flat against the bed and my son would use it as a ramp and probably break it!! It all comes apart and fits into a bag that would enable it to be taken with you on holiday very easily and would fit easily in the car on the floor in front of the car seat.

We use this on our double bed for our baby who sleeps with us to ensure she does not fall out. Perfect for breastfeeding Mums who prefer the advantages of co-sleeping. It's excellent, although requires some strength to assemble. The fold-down side does NOT work on our bed as the frame has a lip into which the mattress fits. But we will take it on holiday with us as although quite heavy, it folds into a smallish bag.

if you are one of the many mothers who breast feeds their baby while half asleep in bed - then this is what you have been looking for - a bed guard you can use on a double bed. very practical and sturdy when assembled. The product has not been specially designed for use with a double bed but it does works well and i feel much more relaxed feeding baby at night.

This guard is fitted to my 2.5 yr old's bed. The instructions are clear, it's so easy to put together. It will fit different widths of beds as it has an adjustable strap underneath the mattress, so I wont need to buy another when her bed chnages.
One of the best things is that you can use it on slatted bases- a major plus, as most similar products are for divan bases only!!
It also unlocks and folds down so you can replace the bedding with ease.
It comes with a bag so you can take it when you travel, and folds down quite small too.
Although I haven't needed to yet, I believe you can also wash the cover too!!
Have raved about this bed guard to several friends already....

We have only just started using this product. It can be tricky to put together as it is all under tension, but once it is together it is sturdy and does a great job. It is better suited to divan type beds as opposed to bedsteads as it needs a flat base to rest on. Good value for money.
