Yes, I would recommend this to a friend
I bought 2 car seats the same and on both you have trouble fastening the straps. You can't just push it into the clip, you first have to pull the release catch fully down to allow the strap clip to go in. On very rare occations you don't have to do this. If I thought it was unsafe or might release I would have sent them back. It is just an inconvienience!
