Easily installed in my car, very solid and sturdy. Very heavy, but stays in car, so not a problem at all.
Just one click and the car seat is in and ready to go. Easy to see green/red indicators to see if you have clicked the car seat on correctly.

Had to buy this to go with the Maxi car seat.It's really heavy, however, once it's installed in the car you need never move it again as the car seat clips in with such ease it's magic.It was easy to install in the car and comes with instructions, I would prob buy 2 if you have 2 cars though cos i couldn't be bothered with the pain of changing it over from one car to another.[...]

Was a bit dubious about spending nearly [£] on another baby item but am so glad I did. It is so easy to use and also easy to transfer from one car to another. Now the question you must ask yourself is can I afford NOT to have one. A must have item.

I am really happy with this product, I would defintley recommend this product, I bought the maxi cosy car seat aswell and as I will be an on the go mum have found the isofix base a brillant gaget for the car and very safe, It is a little heavy though. [...]

This base fits our car like a dream. It makes taking the car seat in and out the vehicle so quick and easy and the sturdy safe base gives great piece of mind.
Once installed (we use the isofix system) you have a solid robust base for the seat. Second hand base prices aren't much cheaper than buying a base new and so for us it was a no brainer. The system is idiot proof with red/green indicators quickly showing whether the base is properly installed.
We haven't tried it in an non isofix car but the clear symbol stickers show how easy it is to install should the need ever arise.
Some people complain about the base being too heavy but frankly the base needs to be sturdy otherwise it won't work effectively. We found it's sturdiness very reassuring.
Excellent system when combined with the Maxi Cosi Cabriofix system for newborns.

Want maximum safety and not to have to refit a car seat every time we use it. This is the ideal solution. Have seen too many people suffering with car seats, installing them under pressure, then doing it badly. It adds to the cost, but should be worth it in no time.

We have used this base from our now toddlers first days and now it is being inherited by our newborn. This combination with the cabrio car seat has been top of the Which crash tests since 2006 which was a major motivating factor.
Being a base it might be a little heavy and bulky but since it stays in the car - who cares! It also is fully compatible with seat belts so can be moved to Granny's car with ease. Has easily fitted any of the isofix cars we have had as hire cars etc. It is virtually impossible to fit either the base incorrectly or the seat into the base due to very clear indicators. Also leaves virtually no wear marks on you seats as the seat does not rub on it.
Anyone who has ever tried to faf with seatbelts in the rain will appreciate the pure simplicity of click and go!

As a first time parent I thought that I wouldn't need the isofix and that it couldn't be that difficult to put the baby in the car just putting the seatbelt around the car seat. Whilst the Isofix isn't essential it certainly makes life so much easier, especially if the little baby is crying and you can't get the seatbelt correctly fitted. It is also great peace of mind that when you hear that click you know the baby is safe and not going anywhere. I would highly recommend this product to anybody.[...]

The car seat base fitted quickly into the ISOFIX points in the back of our Honda Accord Tourer car. It is so easy to use with the car seat. Would recomend this base to everyone :-)

Yes it is heavy - but you're not going to remove it that often, so this doesnt really matter, and just adds to the sense of build quality.
If you do want to put it in another car it couldn't be easier to swap it over - it takes seconds to get it out and transfer it.
It makes the seat MUCH more stable than the seatbelt alone and you're a lot happier as a result.
We ummed and ahhhd for a long time about the advantages of getting one or not - and have since bought 2!
Definitely worth the price!

This is a pricy piece of kit, but once installed in the car with the isofix, it will save your sanity and you will know your child is safe because it will not move an inch. I like the green indicators to show it is in place.
It is 10x better than my previous seat and base which you had to mess around with the seat belts going round it every time you put it in the car.
Despite the booklet saying no, it also fits in the front passenger seat of 2003 Audi A2 with ISOFIX but you must turn off the airbag!!

Feels very safe once it was fitted in to the car i now feel alot happier that my baby will be safe! Plus so easy to use alot better then getting wet when messing with a seatbelt!!!

The chair base is excellent, i would not be without it now. It was so easy to install and i had great peace of mind knowing that my child was as secure as they could possibly be. It is so easy to lift my baby in and out of without having to get into the back seat and mess around with seat belts. Just one click and the car seat is released from the base. It is worth every penny.

We originally weren't going to get one of these but weren't very happy with having the car seat just secured with the seatbelt as it felt wobbly and insecure.
The moment the base was installed we were much happier it feels so solid and safe. It also makes putting the car seat in much less hassle and much quicker.
I like the fact it can be used in a car without Isofix aswell.
One con is the fact that it only fits the smallest car seat so won't be used for very long.

Really good product, except for the fact that it becomes redundant once the child grows out of the seat. It's a real shame that this isn't compatible with subsequent age group seats. It makes it quite an expensive purchase given the limited life span, but perhaps worth it for the peace of mind of a perfectly fitted seat everytime, quickly.

When we first fixed the Maxi Cosi in my car using the seatbelts it felt quite wobbly and not particularly secure. The Easyfix base makes for a much more secure seat and makes me a lot happier that the seat will be safe when baby comes along. Because it can be secured either with Isofix or seatbelts, the car seat can be easily transferred for use in other cars, regardless of whether they have Isofix attachments, but still feels safer and is easier to fit than using seatbelts directly on the car seat.

Easy to install, makes life much easier especially when you have another child to get in the car! There's nothing worse than having to play around with fitting an infant seat by seat belt and having a toddler to keep under control!
Also great when it's raining, you just clip it into the base without having to stand there getting a wet back!!

The isofix base fits in both my car (corsa), my husband's (punto) and my parents' (toyota). It does go into the punto isofix bars easier out of the three cars tho!

The device is easy to fit and once secured makes it a breeze for my wife to take the baby seat in and out the car without having to worry if its secured properly. Its expensive but gives fantastic peace of mind and you can always sell it on through Ebay 6 months later for a really good price.

Did not buy first time around but having got it for the second child, we regret not getting it first time round. Great idea and absolutly brilliant. Its so easy to use and is so easy to plug the baby seat in and out, it is making life very easy with 2 kids now. A ++++++

After researching we decided on the Isofix/Cabriofix combo - great safety ratings. The base is really easy to set up using the colour coded markers which show when installed correctly. Really easy to get the Cabriofix seat in and out of the car as it simply clicks into the base - no hassle!

we bought the cabriofix and easyfix base for my daughter just over 2 years ago when it was new to the uk and the only isofix seat available. we are now expecting our second child any day and have bought a second base so we have one in each car. it's so easy to fit, and none of that hassle wrapping a seatbelt round the car seat. just clunk the seat on, and clunk the seat off. we used the seat with quinny pushchairs so we used the whole thing as a travel system.
