i bought the creatis car seat and was using it without the base as the seat i had could not be used with a creatis fix base ( it was the old type) so i decided to buy both new.
that was the best money i spent it has saved so much hassle and strain on my back.
i cant think of anything negative to say about the base.

The creatis fix car seat is great but was very awkward to get into my 3 door clio. The creatis fix base attaches to the car with a seat belt and makes it so much easier to get the car seat in and out. When attched it feels very secure and is a must for a 3 door car.

I didn't want to get into the habit of leaving my boy in the car seat so I have spent the last few months disturbing everytime I arrived somewhere - what a fool - I had bought the travel system for convenience and not been using it to its best advantage. This has made a huge difference and the carseat comes out with a tug and a click - rather than lots of tugs, clicks, pulls, rock and rolls. Baby now stays asleep for a little longer after a car journey.

I found the car seat a bit of a pain without this - although it wouldn't fit in our Corsa but did in the new car so I'd go to a shop to check that first, then get it online as soo much cheaper. I think it only fits the newer car seats too based on previous reviews. Great time saver.

Bought 2 - one for each car as putting seat in without is a pain and often requires moving the seat in front forward just to get carrier to fit in. With the base this elimantes this frustration. Only dissapointment is that the 'Yellow Click in place bar' on both hardly moves so you have to rely on manually checking that it is actually in place.

I would say this is an essential with the creatis fix car seat. Makes getting the seat in and out of the car a doddle. The car seat is quite large and many seatbelts (I have found) only just go round it. Wasn't going to bother getting the base as was annoyed it was an added extra but well worth the money in the end.

I brought this in the hope that it would make the creatis car seat easier to get in and out he car .... but very disappointed that it doesnt fit my carseat - the base only fits the new model BUT it doesnt actually state this on the product .... I am now out of pocket and feel a little let down that they couldnt make one to fit the older style or at least make it very clear that it doesnt fit the older style creatis seats - make sure yours is compatiable before buying ...... other that that probably a very good idea !

Although it's sharp practice by the manufacturers to make it complicated to fit child seats without the often expensive bases, we decided to buy one after 2 weeks of struggling.
After fitting the base to the rear seat of our car, it is now very easy to take the car seat in and out, with the added reassurance that it is fitted properly. Still begrudge paying the money...
